Article 2.1 - Elections

Every month there shall be an election held by The Bot. This election shall decide the President for the following month until the next election.

The Bot shall announce the Election to all Citizens and all Citizens may cast one vote either anonymously or in public view for one fellow Citizen. Citizens may change their vote before the Election has finished.

Citizens may vote even if they are not in the guild. They may vote by directly messaging The Bot or by joining another server that The Bot is a part of.

Each election shall last 48 hours during which Citizens can cast their votes. At the end of this period the individual with the most votes shall become the new President. The existing President shall be stripped of his power at this point and the new President shall have said power bestowed upon them. This shall all be carried out by The Bot.

In the event that two or more Citizens receive the same number of votes, a random winner shall be selected from all those who are equal in having the most votes cast for them.

In the event that no votes are cast the previous President shall remain President as though they had one.

At any point during an election, anyone may view the current election standings with the current vote tally.
